The discussion will outline<br \/>\ncore ethical standards such as respect for participants, informed consent,<br \/>\nconfidentiality, minimisation of harm, and responsible data management. Special<br \/>\nattention will be devoted to research involving children, where issues of assent,<br \/>\nparental consent, vulnerability, and protection from potential psychological risk<br \/>\nrequire particularly careful consideration. Ethical complexities arising in clinical<br \/>\nresearch contexts will also be examined, including dual roles of researchers and<br \/>\nclinicians, risk assessment, and safeguarding participants experiencing<br \/>\npsychological distress. The roundtable aims to encourage critical reflection on how<br \/>\nethical guidelines are applied in real research settings and to promote good practices<br \/>\nthat balance scientific rigor with participant well-being.
